AUSTRALIA'S HOMELESSNESS PULSE
TONIGHT SERIES — READY-TO-POST CAPTIONS

ABOUT THE SERIES

Where someone sleeps tonight does not tell you the whole story of their life.
Homelessness can mean sleeping outside, in a car or tent, moving between
couches, or staying somewhere temporary with no secure place to call home.

Use these six tiles as a sequence, or share the image most relevant to the
conversation in your community.

01 — TONIGHT: HOME.

For too many Australians, a safe and secure home is not guaranteed.
Before the Census counts Australia, let's check the Pulse. What are you seeing
where you live?

02 — TONIGHT: A CAR.

A vehicle may be transport by day and someone's only shelter by night.
Add what you are seeing to Australia's Homelessness Pulse.

03 — TONIGHT: OUTSIDE.

Rough sleeping is the most visible form of homelessness, but it is only part of
the picture. Take the Pulse.

04 — TONIGHT: A TENT.

Temporary shelter is not the same as a safe, secure home. Tell us what
homelessness looks like where you live.

05 — TONIGHT: A COUCH.

Couch surfing can be hidden homelessness — uncertain, temporary and often
uncounted in everyday conversation. Add your voice.

06 — TONIGHT: TEMPORARY.

A motel room, spare room or short stay can offer shelter without offering
security. Help build the national picture.
